Okay, so I'm testing this because I've never done it.
If I could get some feedback to verify I've done these properly (and that I named the right files), I'd genuinely appreciate it. (Meaning, could someone please at some point try just one and then later the other?)
These 2 SHOULD be ALL Sims 3 Base Game Buy Mode objects and all Sims 3 Store Freebies, they should appear in your collections folders with the Store bag icon on the "Freebies" and with the Interior Designer profession icon for the Base Game Buy Mode stuff.
The Base Game collection, because the filter shows ALL Base Game and store AND custom content objects, I created a more distinct list with ONLY base game items in it. As such, I included every base game object in buy mode as well as the pool objects and misc community lot objects like the trash can, radio tower, etc, but did not include the rabbit holes. I also did not go through and do all of the walls, flooring or other build objects. The Buy mode objects by themselves were a very large group and there are fewer Build mode objects from the store and each EP that I was less concerned about sorting them from the store and custom content at this time, but I may do another collection shortly with windows, doors, fireplaces, etc, that are base game only, just so that I have that collection as well.
The Freebies, I didn't include pre-order or the Pets Limited Edition Pet Store objects. I DID however, include registration gifts like the Generations phone, Riverview objects, Explorer's Loot, and the other EP registration rewards. I also did all freebies as I had them, including regional promotions (T-Mobile and Dr. Pepper, for example). If you do not have those promos, you will not show the items. However, if you have items from those sets that I do not, you will have to add them.
To install these collections, open your Documents > User (You) > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Collections > User folder. Paste these in there and they should show up as custom collection when you open your game.
I hope they work as intended.
