The Turnwicks, a new family that started out for the Group Neighborhood Project that did not come to fruition is now a part of the Population Project:
Hi all, I've made a new family for Sark's project. This family will be for Greentown. The family is in a "zip" file ready to unzip/install directly into your "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Library" and will show up in your family library in game in "Edit Town". Here is their story: the Turnwicks are new to Greentown, and they are hoping for a bright future. Things haven't been going so well for them lately. Ogal has been spending too much time away from his wife and daughter. Will he ever be able to win back his daughter, Yuga's, affection? As she gets closer to being an adult, he has begun to worry it might be too late. his wife, Shlastic, he thinks might be more understanding, so he's most worried about Yuga. How will his family ever pull it together? Now to introduce the family: Ogal is often getting wrapped up in his inventing, so much so that sometimes he forgets about his family. It has been difficult for him to keep up a good relationship with his daughter, Yuga. He will go off for hours digging in the town dump to find what treasures might lie in wait, while at home his wife and daughter grow more and more distant from him. it's not that he doesn't love his family. . . he remembers a time when he thought his wife was the most beautiful girl in the world, in fact, when he thinks about it, she still is. What Shlastic wants more than anything is a family, and she adores her daughter, Yuga, with whom she's spent a lot of time cultivating a good relationship. But she can't understand why her husband, Ogal, wants to spend so much time by himself, working for hours on end on crazy contraptions. Isn't most of that stuff just useless anyway? Although, she has to admit that the man she fell in love with always had some new idea for something he thought was great, and that was part of what made her fall in love with him. Poor shy Yuga has a difficult time meeting new people. All through school, the other children have been cruel to her, teasing her about her "four eyes" and her very noticeable overbite, both of which she inherited from her dad. It's just another reason to pull away from him, and since he's spent so little time with her lately, that's easy enough. Her one friend in the whole world, her mom, has been kind, trying to show her that not all people are cruel, but after everything, how will Yuga ever feel comfortable around other people? RE: Turnwick Family for the Group Neighborhood Project
Hey Tonya, I notice that you have the LN button for them. Do they actually require stuff from LN or could they possibly be put into a game without that expansion pack? I know these are for Sark's project but I'm collecting Sims to move into Longview, where I settled the Tulpan family so was thinking about downloading them for that. :D
Love their back-story by the way! |

RE: Turnwick Family for the Group Neighborhood Project
I know I used a LN hairdo for Mr. Turnwick, (sadly, I can't remember if I used other LN stuff), however if you install it in a game without LN stuff, it'll just default to something else and then you can change the hairdo or outfit if any of those are used. It shouldn't cause any problems.
I've saved families with CC hair or clothes on them and then moved them into my neighborhood after deleting said CC and they just defaulted to some in game hair or clothing; no problem, I just changed it to what I wanted after that. ![]() Just a note: I know I used some AMB, WA stuff too; I think Mrs. Turnwick's hair is either WA or AMB, and I think her dress is AMB. Another interesting note about this family is that I checked both parents as either gender, as a matter of fact, I started to make a female sim that I intended on being the mom of the family and decided to turn her into Mr. Turnwick. Then I chose a male sim who looked good as a male and turned him into Mrs. Turnwick, so both sims look fine as male or female, and I tried rolling several children off of them before I decided on one for Yuga, and they all came out fine looking. There were no weird oddities when putting together the faces. That made me pretty happy. I have one sim at Simlogical.com. You will find the rest of my creations here at CS3. Happy Simming!
