RE: EA Updates Origin Licensing Agreement for EU Users
Sookie, if you know how, run a tracer while you surf as Origin may still be following you anyway. Basically that Eula you signed to make your disk works makes Origin or at least parts of it still able to track you and your surfing habbits just for having one of EA's games or any of their partners and now any of their social games able to track your surfing period just being on your machine. Even Adobe and Java are in EA's partnership group and also have origin connections. It's like the only way you can escape it is buy just Blizzard/Activision games and then you get sucked into Battlegear - Blizzards own version of that demon ware (my name for it, not any official name mind you.)
Heck No I would not break the games I have paid for and send them to EA. What is the point of that seeing they already have my money and it seems anything I like to play now a days already belongs to EA anyway - apparently. What do we do as far as the OS, all get Macs. I see the writin on the wall. EA already has a good 4 CEO's at Microsoft and Microsoft has 2 that I know of at EA. Is it just a coincidence that Bill Gates is talking about stepping down when this last OS is done so he can enjoy his family while he still has time? Bill Gates usually doesn't say much or even give too many non-technical interviews - so I was shocked when I saw that at that E3 interview this year. he did say he was just weighing the possibility - so who knows - but one of EA Ceo's would be in line for that top position if they automatically go up the ladder by rank there. So would one or two Microsoft people but when you also see Bill Gates discussing with JR about EA possibly taking over all his console and Windows games - something more is up then they just swapping CEO for the last 5 years back and forth. Just Halo alone make Bill Gates Billions - and the fact before JR got to EA Bill Gates and EA's former Ceo were virtual enemies and their gaming division was an EA rival company. As it is EA makes games for Microsofts console and even sells them through Origin. With a code a short while ago you could get up to 60 percent off on the Microsoft games at Origin. The code was something like ORIGIN60. Anyway, I suppose worrying about it doesn't change anything. I know there are too many people who already accept Origin as they are already saying they are not about to forego the Battlegear games or Mass Affect or Drangon Age or Skyrim or anything because they must have Origin installed. I am seeing it on other websites where otheres are discussing some of this same stuff - and their general insight in the matter seems to be accept Origin or find another hobby. Some of them are saying it's better than steam. Apparently it works like steam on consoles and digital. I seriously doubt I can find another hobby - health issue keeps me limited now a days - so EA is not about to make me angry enough to break all my games. Or quit playing sims for that matter as long as the good lord is willing to give me life. It doesn't mean I have to like it. Also that lawyer getting in contact makes me think possibly EA is also walking on thin Ice. I guess we wait and see. |
