Cheap Gift Ideas
It's never too early to start setting aside gifts for the next holiday...especially if you plan on making gifts because the economy is still sluggish.

I've been reading lots of ideas from Pinterest and things, there are LOTS of great craft ideas out there, and if you have a bottle of Mod Podge and a little scrapbook paper or if you have ANY sewing skills whatsoever, there are LOTS of gifts that are WELL within the normal "not all that crafty" person's capability, too.

I'm still growing my craft board, but I have a LOT of ideas up there already.

RE: Cheap Gift Ideas
You have some great ideas on there Spacerox. Personally I might have to make me some of those pot holders as I desperately need some. Thanks for sharing this.

RE: Cheap Gift Ideas
Yea, I just got into Pinterest...it's one of those things you don't think about, but then I was digging around online looking for craft ideas to start working on Xmas gifts and I needed some way, other than a mass grave of links to organize my "ooo, that's something I could do!" ideas.

I suspect it will be helpful when I go back to working on my cookbook, too. I needed a few days off out of the kitchen, but I need to get back into that this week again.

RE: Cheap Gift Ideas
Pinterest is a pretty cool site, isn't it? I ran into a link for it the other day so took a glance at someone's page, seems a WAY cool way to keep track of stuff. :D

RE: Cheap Gift Ideas
It's so handy and genuinely addictive.
It reminds me of a cross between a corkboard and a designer's Inspiration Board with fabric swatches and etc. (which my mom used to do tons of when she worked actively as a designer.)
I've been "pinning" like crazy. I do wish that you could shuffle the pins once they're down to cluster like ideas, but that's my only complaint. I have so many ideas, I need to start sorting them out further into smaller boards though lol. My quilting/big project stuff is beginning to take over the "great gift ideas" (aka small projects that you can whip together in less than a day) and it's getting a bit cluttered.
