One thing I love about most of Dantes' builds is the liberal use of wood and stone. If I could I would have a house of similar building materials. :D

That gives an antique look to a modern house. It's very cool as house. I like the contrasts, as the heat of the wood with the coolness of the stone. I like to work with noble materials IRL. The wood and the stone are my first choices.

One more question: can we add doors/arches or windows? For instance, if I wanted to join what is (in the original house) the two bedrooms to each other, kind of opening the space without actually knocking down walls, could I do that? I've already had to scrap one plan because I realized you didn't want internal walls added to the existing space (duh! I'm the one who asked the question, but forgot what it meant until I re-read your answer), so I don't want to start something else I'll have to scrap. But... the original layout makes no sense to me and *has* to change! LOL

Yes, I will allow that because Lady Magical actually moved the opening of a doorway, by replacing a wall with a fence in the dining room. So it would kind of be the same idea.

I am sorry to say that the challenge is closed. Jaguwar sent me a PM saying she would not be able to get hers poosted in time and I have not heard from Dini60 at all. The poll has been posted and will be active for 5 days.

You get to choose between Lady Magical and Dante. Both of these talented builders have won challenges before, but who will win in this head-to-head. Good Luck You two and let the voting begin!
