Picture Program
I'm sure this is not the right forum to post this, but I need some advice about a picture editing program. My old program was not compatible with my new Windows 7 installation, so I need something. I sure was disappointed because I loved that program.

Anyway, there are so many programs, it is mind boggling chosing what to try. I would love to try a free version first if possible. I don't need anything complicated, just something to edit and prepare my lot pictures for submission and for family pics.

Keep in mind that I am computer challeged.:bounce:

Thanks for any tips or advice.Sunshine

Blessings to you and yours. Flower_32x32

RE: Picture Program
Which program were you using? I actually still use Pain Shop Pro 7 (talk about old) It actually still works fine with win7 even though it was made in the late 90's.

I also have Paint.net installed too. It is a free program that actually supports DDS files.

My ancient program was Microsoft Picture It. I think it was made around 1999. I just loved it and it suited my needs, but would not work with Windows 7. I will take a look at both your programs and see if it will work for me. Thanks for the suggestions.

RE: Picture Program
Hi again Judy! I just saw this today. :D Another good free one is GIMP if some other suggestions don't work for you. That's what I use, and it works great for me; not really complicated. I just do a search on the internet for the download whenever I need to install on a different computer.

I have one sim at Simlogical.com. You will find the rest of my creations here at CS3. Happy Simming! Kiss_32x32

RE: Picture Program
I use Photobie, although with a DDS I need to run it through paint.net or Gimp to translate it into png. He has promised to work on DDS support, but it hasn't happened yet. (Or I just run the item through TT3 if it is compatible. :) )

You should still be able to get it to work with windows 7, as long as you can install the program, all you need to do is right click on the .exe file and click on the comparability tab.

There you can go in and change it to make windows run it as though it was running windows xp, vista and even windows 95 stuff.

I have been able to install my old sims 1 games and get them to run on my monster (windows 7)
