RE: It's time to pass along the torch
I chatted with Sookielee last night over the phone about this site. I remember visiting the site, but apparently never registered as the username simstown was available.

Anyway, I'm currently looking around to get a feel for this site and community.

RE: It's time to pass along the torch
Things have been more hectic than usual for me the past couple of weeks but I've also been on the phone with Sookielee considerably during that time and we've talked about a lot of her plans for the site. I just got off the phone with her a little while ago and I declare, the ideas she was bouncing off me during our conversation sounded absolutely outstanding. Knock wood that everything goes according to plan, but we are going to try to start getting stuff transferred next week.

I know it's hard, but you'll feel freer, too. If there's anything I can do to help...

Regina, why don't you give Sookielee admin privs in the meantime, so she can get started with whatever her ideas were? It shouldn't interfere with the transfer, and it only takes two clicks of a mouse to do, I think, in most forum software?

Not to worry, Inge, we're coming along with the whole thing. I can't say for certain but I'm thinking she'll wait until everything is done before she starts making much in the way of changes.

I also have some clean-up work I'll be finishing today if at all possible but otherwise we are getting our little duckies nicely lined up to make as smooth a transition as possible. :)

I check in several times a week even though I mostly lurk. I'm not sure how I missed your annoucement until today!

Thank you Regina for taking over this forum and for all the work you put into it. As others have said, hope to still see you around! And best of luck to Sookielee and her DH. :)

RE: It's time to pass along the torch
Thanks, Tangie! With only tiny exceptions everyone here has always been such a pleasure to run a site for and I'm just sad I wasn't able to take it where it needs to go. Of course we don't always get to choose the path our lives take and I tend to be rather stubborn so it can take me a while to finally accept changes I know I need to make. :bag:
