The only fond memories I have of the Sims is when I watched my parents play. I am only in my teens now, so I was only recently became interested in the Sims in December 2009 when my mom finally agreed to give my sister and me the Sims 2. In late December, when my mom got World Adventures, she gave me the Sims 3. (And she told me not to tell my sister. :what: ) Anyways then I became hooked on Sims when I got to install all the EPs up to Ambitions. The Rest is History. :cheesy:

The memories I have of the original Sims is my parents playing Makin' Magic. My dad still tells stories from that EP complaining on the ways to attain a black rose by killing the celebrity and watching the crazed fan put a black rose on the grave.

The memories from Sims 2 are clearer. The most clear is going down to my dad's office and asking him why ghosts were haunting his Sim. He said the other guy killed them so they haunt him at night and he can only escape them by going to the top floor.

Those are my memories of the Sims!

All went well with the alien babies. He had twins and his wife had twins too. They, and I, went crazy for 3 Sim days. I was busy with her cleaning up potties and bottles and wondered where he had gotten to. Well then I got a pop up. The fool got himself abducted again. Only room in the house for one though this time.

That suddenly reminded me of when I moved 4 pregnant sims (whom I knew had the "twins gene") onto a lot and didn't panic (much) when all of them showed up at my active sim's restaurant and had cheesecake. Then I discovered that my husband had gotten a mod to allow more than 8 sims on a lot. And the mod to allow triplets and quads. You guessed it- Two sets of twins, one set of triplets, and one set of quads.

I played that lot long enough to discover that the former Grand Vampiress was actually the best mom in the bunch. She would take care of anybody's kid, even while she is incinerating herself by being out of the coffin during the day. And Sandy Bruty wouldn't even take care of her own kids.

Then I aged all the babies up to toddlers with Inge's cake, taught them all to walk, talk, and potty trained them using smart milk, and never played that lot again.

I think I would have throttled my hubby. You are better than I as there is no way I would have enev tried to play that lot with so many babies.

Oh, that is the challenge!!! And I thought the lot I had loaded in TS3 last evening was nuts with 11 sims, including four toddlers and two babies. Of course, the toddlers don't bother me, but those stupid baby sims that completely drop their social motive while sleeping, well, that's why I have the baby sims to grow up in 2-3 days. . . :)

I have so enjoyed this thread ... :bounce: but can totally relate to the above! I don't even remember who or where I was introduced to the game, but it was late into Sims 1, I went out and bought EVERY EP there was, and was so overwhelmed I never really got into actually playing it, before Sims2 was being announced .... that's when I called DELL, and custom ordered a gaming system for Sims2!!!!! of which I of course had to have every EP, and ALL the custom content I could find ... I was a downloadaholic ... :giggle: .... I had so much stuff, I admit, I don't really have any memories of a storyline, other than a challenge called "Landlubber" which I did complete .... when Sims3 was released, I waited until Generations, and then bought everything at once...then my computer crashed ... (now mind you it's 7 years old by now ... at least) ... so I bought a new system, and have just gotten everything re- loaded added a little cc, and a few mods ... and that's where I am today .... looking forward to play time with a Legacy challenge on Victoria Isles :) ... I fell asleep last night thinking of names for my simmies :bounce:

That's so cute, falling asleep thinking about what you're going to name your sims. You crack me up. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that does strange things when it comes to sims. I don't think my boyfriend quite understands this. It's possible that I drive him crazy talking about sims. Last evening, I was chatting with him on the phone with the game loaded, and I was saying something about my game. He made a comment about how I go off on tangents like that in the middle of a conversation and he doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about. . . Rofl

Yeah, I guess I'm a sims addict.

I started with sims 1 and still owns all the sim 1s , sims 2 and has 4 of sims 3 games.

what was funny in sims 1, i had an asian family, the mother got pregnant and out pops this blonde headed child lol

sims 2 had a couple, she was pregnant - and learned why you don't call up the grim, killed the husband, and wife kicks the urn and curses lol that was funny.
