Going EA Match in the Sims 3
There are so many styles of custom content out there to choose from, so much to try out and see just how you feel about this thing or that...but some players want to try to keep their game as purely like EA (or in Sims 1 and 2, Maxis) envisioned it.

(I've been playing with a purely Simlish game myself lately, but I haven't gone completely EA match. It's hard...there's so much amazing content out there that isn't EA-match that it can be VERY hard to narrow down to that style. However, the beauty of the Sims is you don't HAVE to go completely if you don't wish, you can simply use the objects to expand your game into a fuller version with all of the matching pieces. I was disappointed in The Sims Wiki from MTS having only 4 objects listed in their EA Match section, so I'm going to scour and post my own as I have time and I encourage you to help me create a more comprehensive list here.)

Note: If you are going to post in this thread, I ask that you save and attach images (do NOT hotlink) of the objects in question as well as linking to them as directly as possible. Not all sites or sets will have links to that one object, but please make the attempt to get as close as you can.

This thread is intended to be a collection of objects that expand on the things that we have been given and match them for in-game continuity.

A perfect example of EA/Maxis Match are conversions of objects from the Sims 2 or expanding upon objects that we got in stuff packs or expansions. Tamo plays and creates specifically EA/Maxis match, and she does it beautifully. Find these lamps (one of which is a higher-detail conversion of the Hula lamp that EA put in the store, she converted it much better than they did, which is sad, really) at her site, Tamo.

Aside from many brilliant glasses styles and some other stuff like Prius-logo overrides for the balloon thing and the t-shirts, Tamo has also done a set of TS2 to TS3 Bon Voyage travel posters in 3 sizes.

RE: Going EA Match in the Sims 3
Another easy group of EA/Maxis Match objects to point out are from Fuzzy Logic Dishwasher.

The bowl of plastic fruit is one.

There's the ShoYou Shoji Screen, too.

There's a Rockabilly dining chair to match the bar stool from Fast Lane:

I haven't started digging too deeply yet, but these will get you started if you're considering this path along with me. If not, at least maybe you're seeing some useful CC lol.

RE: Going EA Match in the Sims 3
Around the Sims 3 has a lot to offer to a clutter fiend, but while MOST of the meshes are her own, Sandy does have some objects that are conversions as well in the mix. Also, especially with newer sets, she has been including Simlish options for much of her CC.

From her Artist's Workshop:

Also, she's done lots of paintings with images of sims in them like from her Irish Pub set:
