RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
I expect it will be Judy. Earlier it was said that the new moon phases would be in SSV and the rest of the EA worlds, so it seems to me that it will be a global change. They did specify that existing neighborhoods would not have the effects that MF will have, but that is understandable as they are probably done with that little ball thingie.

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
SimsGuruMegan posted this information on her twitter account. (thanks SimsVIP for the info)

Quote: Yes, if you get turned into a fairy, your wings will be randomly chosen. However, there is an LHR that will help you to change your wings if you don’t like them!

You can’t see inside the fairy houses, but I certainly wouldn’t call them “simple” objects! You can do so many things in them; they are very all-purpose objects!

Vampires can drink Fairy blood

No, no vampire fairies. You’ll be either a vampire or a fairy

Bonehilda is a moving (won’t say living or breathing!) being.

Yes! There are ways for vampires to be immune to the negative effects of sunlight both temporarily and permanently!

There isn’t a strong good vs. evil theme in Supernatural. Many of the supernatural Sims have some good actions and some evil actions, but players can choose to do only good actions, only evil actions, or a mixture of both. You can tell whatever kind of story you want.

Witch dueling will not result in any new deaths

Witches can’t turn people into gold. That’s actually an Alchemy elixir. And they won’t be gold permanently; it’s just a temporary thing.

There is a possibility Zombies may attack your home during a full moon

You’ll be able to pick any skin tone you want, and we’ve added a bunch of new skin tone sliders in Supernatural!

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
Also I wanted to let everyone know that part of the embargo placed on the fan sites that went to the Europe Supernatural event will be lifted tomorrow. So you can expect to see a flood of information on numerous sites about some of the aspects of Supernatural. From what I understand Witches and Vampires are still under the embargo until August 13, 2012.

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
You know, there's a lot of great stuff coming with this EP and if it weren't for the Supernaturals, I'd buy it. I don't like the "fantasy" aspect of the Sims games and in Sims 2, I ignored the ones that came with the EP's, but I'm sure not going to buy this one. I don't fancy fairies, zombies, witches and vampires over running my worlds. Well.. ok maybe the vampires. With the LN vamps, I don't have a lot of trouble. They populate Bridgeport but the rest of my worlds are almost vampire free zones.

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
Didn't someone say that there is going to be more control over keeping the supernaturals where you want them and out of where you don't want them? From what I read earlier I thought the Supernatural EP was to bring more sanity and control over this stuff. I don't know if I understood it correctly though.

With LN installed, I started a game (in Riverview and in Sunset Valley) with no mods installed to control the vamps to test play after a patch upgrade and I had sims turning into vampires right and left, as well as celebrities. (I haven't figured out how a sim can turn into a vampire when there's no vampire to bite them in the town in the first place; to my mind, that's just plain dumb.) I'm always going to have Twallan's mods to take care of stuff like that, so if this EP has zombies running amok in a town where I don't want them, I believe he'll most likely incorporate that into his mods so you can keep them out if you want like the LN vamps and celebs.

Even if you don't have Twallan's Story Progression to control all this, other modders like Shimrod have made controllers for the vamps and celebs with the in game story progression running. I wouldn't even think about playing my game without mods, since EA thinks if they put something into this game, they usually have to go way over the top. I can see where it makes sense to have a town where you have a lot of vampires or celebrities, but in real life, most towns don't have either, and my regular town, I just want regular sims in.

One thing about it, with the way they're doing the supernaturals in this EP, it would make it fun to have a town just for them, since one will be able to make them in CAS as families. I surely believe if you don't want them in your town, there will be a way to keep them out, even if it's only a mod, as awesome as Twallan and Shimrod are.

Of course, if you don't want to buy this EP, it's totally up to you. Sunshine To each his own. :)

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
I think EA was actually very smart to place the majority of the fantasy type characters in one EP. Although I myself and looking forward to Supernaturals, I can understand that if the whole fantasy thing isn't your cup of tea, you can skip one EP instead of having them added one EP at a time and there be nothing you can do except mod them out.

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
That's a very good point; and the extra sliders possibly will be in the patch. Of course, there are people like me who really want this EP but don't want zombies in every town.

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
I am excited for this EP, but as long as there is some control over the amount of these fantasy type sims in any world. I like fantasy stuff and all that, but I like to keep the supernatural/mythical creatures to a minimal level where there are mostly regular sims and a few of the fantasy sims, so that every time I meet a sim they're not a witch or zombie or vampire, etc. There really should only be a couple of each in my regular saves, and if I'm doing a fantasy thing I'd up the every possible sim there is. I just don't want my world overrun by...things

RE: Sims 3: Supernatural
EA's idea of control over fantasy creatures is basic "On/Off". So you either maintain the population EA things is ideal of you don't have them propigating in your game at all. I imagine Twallen will expand his SP mod to give us better control.

I do have to say thanks to EA for at least trying to give us some control, even if it is an on/off switch.
