My Sunset Valley [Working Title]
Latest update: http://customsims3.com/forums/thread-146...l#pid11642
So, I found Magic_Dancer's Sunset Valley 2 and I fell in love with the layout, and decided to download the CAW files and build my own Sunset Valley! I, of course, cannot take any of the credit for original sculpting and painting but I am going to tweak this into my personal little thing. So, this is what I have so far (I started only today so it's not that much): Well, first of all an overview. This is my town centre. I have copied the Central Park from Sunset Valley, although I'm planning to do some changes to make it 'mine'. I loved Sookielee's Sunset Valley rabbithole replacements so I used those for my town's city hall and school/stadium. Where you in Sunset Valley would expect to see Mirabello Plaza I have put down the bin lots from Town Life stuff, and I think it turned out pretty good. :) I haven't worked much at all at the beach, but I downloaded Sookielee's Sunset Valley beach replacement with the sky diving rabbithole and adjusted it to the flat terrain and put out some beach umbrellas. Haha, well another piece of Sookielee's work here, her science/hospital lot for Sunset Valley. I have actually downloaded almost all of the CS3 lots so you will probably see a lot of your houses in here, since I really like them. It just happened to be many of Sookielee's lots getting placed today. ![]() Around this uhm ring thing I have started on a rich man's neighbourhood with JudySims' awesome remodels of the Goth, Alto and Landgraab estates! In the final version there will be Goths, Altos and Landgraabs here, although other parts of the families than those living in original Sunset. ;) In every single world I have made I have wanted to have a street of Sookielee's gambrels but I have never had the space. Well, now I have and here they are! This is the farming area, where I have put down an equestrian centre and three of Sookielee's farmhouses. Last but not least, Spacerox's redesigned Wolff manor! So, do you have anything to say? Any ideas? Any lots you think would fit in very good in some part of the world? :) Also, Sookielee, since this world will probably take a few months to finish. What do you think about adding to the Summer Contest that the winning farm will be rewarded a lot in the farming area? I thought that would be a nice idea, since this will mostly be a world of CS3 homes anyway! RE: My Sunset Valley [Working Title]
Oooh. I remember see that world when I was searching through the EA caw forum and loved it. I actually do like the flat worlds of TS2. I do love seeing my gambrels all lined up like that. I will probably be going out and buying Town Life SP, just because of this world. It is so sweet of you to use so many of my lots and it make me proud that I can help in some small way.
We have so many great lots here it would be hard to choose, but I would suggest having a starter subdivision. Great thing is that could be hodge-podge as many starter neighborhoods in real life tend to be that way or super cookie cutter and boring (but who want that). I do have several starter here already uploaded and some more of my post war lots that I never took pics of that I could upload if you like. This is a really big world for you Gurra, as so many are small. I can't wait to see more of what you do. You have such a great eye for making worlds. I love that idea of the Contest winning lot being featured in the world. I will add to the prize list that the winner's lot will be featured in an upcoming world to be released here at CS3. |

RE: My Sunset Valley [Working Title]
What size is the contest lot? So that I could add it to the farming area right away. :)

RE: My Sunset Valley [Working Title]
I also like your work so far Gurra.
I don't have the Town Life stuff pack either and those lots look so cool. I'll have to see if my credit card can get enough points to purchase it. This is a great idea, and I didn't know someone edited it to make it more flat. I've had a ton of trouble in worlds that are lumpy and hilly with routing issues, sims getting stuck all over the place. I'm thinking I should download this.Anyway, I'm so tired that I don't have any suggestions right away. Maybe soon. I just wanted to let you know how much I like it and you're doing a great job. :thumbsup2: I have one sim at Simlogical.com. You will find the rest of my creations here at CS3. Happy Simming!

RE: My Sunset Valley [Working Title]
Small update of what I have done today.
![]() An overview of the world as of now. I am thinking of a unique name for it, rather than naming it something Sunset-Valley-ish (if you understand what I mean). Downtown, sims can have dinner (or lunch) at Dante's diner lot. Some beach homes, by Spacerox and Pary. Spacerox's Sunnyside Strand remodel for Sunset Valley got a place here. It was hard to find the exact spot for it but I think I managed to get it placed not too bad... This area I call Bay Hill. You find some of Judy's houses here and a Pary one aswell. Sookielee's Townie Townhomes got their own little street. This is what the farming area looks like right now. The winner's farm in the Summer contest will be placed in front of the fields, to the right of the barn.. Some of the houses I have placed in the farming area. Pary's Family Farmhouse, a forest cabin kind of house by Pary, and at the end of town a Sookielee starter. I just have to say that it would be really great if you could upload those other post war lots! I have the ones that you have uploaded and I think they could make a good section together in town if I had a few more than only three. :) All my creations (worlds, lots, sims) can be found here: http://www.den.simlogical.com/denforum/i...board=57.0 |

RE: My Sunset Valley [Working Title]
Take your time, I don't need them very quickly at all. What are their lot sizes and how many are them? That way, I can just make room for them and add them in later. :)

RE: My Sunset Valley [Working Title]
Thanks in advance, Sookielee!
I thought this area would be perfect, so I will need either 7 (which would be one side of the road) or 14 (which would be both sides), how many do you have/want to do? ![]() All my creations (worlds, lots, sims) can be found here: http://www.den.simlogical.com/denforum/i...board=57.0 |
