TS3 EP06 Showtime Harold's Island
[Image: ef247645bdfa46f64b57c69bedbefb1d82edda2a...d1b54g.jpg]

Hi everyone!

This is the gravestone of the fisherman Aaron Harold, a grumpy guy that lived somewhere in the 18th century.

[Image: b6d0f04892f8a5dea45bfe002bb295abccc1bd29...b89f4g.jpg]

One day he was on a fishing trip with his boat, when we landed on a tiny island.

[Image: 94c9073d63488e8887c1f678616f4c0204bf7876...fbc24g.jpg]

Soon he found out, that there were three other tiny islands and Harold decided to settle down there with his family.

His daughter Kelly opened up a library, because on a tiny island like this, there was not a lot to do and reading was her passion.

[Image: 69a3eee2c8839d47986ae331eb616a6773c6f722...ba734g.jpg]

Her husband Charley opened up a restaurant right next door, because someone had to eat all the fish old Aaron caught.

Aaron's wife Kim needed a place to sell all the fish her husband caught, so she opened up a consignment store.

To have a place for all the grandchildren, Harold also built a playground for them.

The grandchildren grew up and grandson Conny opened up a bar, his sister Sally opened up a salon.

[Image: 3d7b572fbe69b5441e5ec32cd67687dfcb8f8b26...cd114g.jpg]

Life was nice, but the years went by and more and more people came to the island.

They built wealthy homes, town houses and apartment complexes.

[Image: 5badffb4b54fbf5c585105fa61c314e3eb702812...f8c44g.jpg]

Some of them never made it to a fortune, so they lived in crappy cabins.

After all, the island grew ... and today I am bringing it to you: Harold's Island

There is a total of 36 lots.

18 residental lots:

4 wealthy homes
8 townhomes
2 apartments
4 starter homes

18 community lots:

1 Cocktail Bar
1 Salon
1 Bookstore/Library
1 Consignment Store
1 Playground
1 Park with pond and fish
Beach
Police Station
Hospital
Science Center
City Hall
Office Complex
School
Restaurant
Bookstore
Grocerystore
Diner
Coffee house
Graveyard
Criminal Warehouse

The world is built on a small map (100 height map) and consists of 4 tiny islands connected by bridges.

I have all EP's but no Stuff Packs installed, so you might need them to play the world.

I used (almost) no CC - only one roof seems to have sneaked in there.

There is only one layer - because since this is my first world I had no idea how to work with several layers.

I hope you enjoy the small world and leave some comment.

I will also upload an empty version in the 'Worlds without buildings' section.

I just love the story about your town. When I get time, I'd love to try it. Things have been so busy lately though with work and regular life, I'll have to see. Really nice job and such a nice little island. Sunshine

RE: Harold's Island
Looks great!

Especially for your first go round with caw ;)

Downloading now :breakdance:

Just an FYI for downloaders, it does have quite a bit of CC, but if you don't want the CC you can use Custard and uncheck all the CC, and save before you install.

RE: Harold's Island
How did all that stuff get in there? I was so careful not to put any CC in there. I don't understand this!

In the first download there was no cc in it. This is weird.

That's strange. Did you export 2 copies? It's odd the CC would piggyback on one export, and not another.

To make sure CC doesn't piggyback in on your world export, either remove your DCbackup folder, or just delete the contents before you export a world otherwise all the CC you've installed can piggyback in on your worlds .sims3pack when exported. I try to delete everything in there every so often as it just takes up space on my computer for no good reason. Here's what mine looks like:

RE: Harold's Island
This lot is temporarily unavailable until the OP corrects issues with attached CC.

This has been fixed and the file checked with Custard by both the OP and myself.

RE: Harold's Island
Where is the download link? I can't find it. The one link I found took me to Media Fire, but there were only .jpg files available.

Thank you,

Atreyu
