Red desert terrains?
Hello, I'm working on a new project on the side of my Sunset Valley one and I really, really need a red desert terrain for it. I absolutely SUCK at creating things like that myself so I have been searching and googling but I can't find any...
I am working on Strangetown for The Sims 3 and I really need an appropriate terrain texture for it. I have attached images of Strangetown in neighborhood view and on a lot to show you what I'm looking for. Does anybody know of any place where I could find something that is at least closer than EA's yellow desert textures...? (and if anybody knows about road textures looking alike the TS2 ones that would help too, but that's definitely not as necessary.) All my creations (worlds, lots, sims) can be found here: http://www.den.simlogical.com/denforum/i...board=57.0 |

RE: Red desert terrains?
I am showing my n00bness, but here it goes.
Can you extract the texture files from TS2? If so, I am a wiz at manipulating graphics, so maybe I can do something that way to get you the right color combo you are looking for. |

RE: Red desert terrains?
I found four 128x128 PNG files with the desert textures, one of them seems to be the one seen at lot view and the other three are probably the ones mixed at neighborhood view.
The last one don't look too bad though, but the three first tile a lot if used directly in CAW. All my creations (worlds, lots, sims) can be found here: http://www.den.simlogical.com/denforum/i...board=57.0 |

RE: Red desert terrains?
See if these work better. I tried my best to get a really close match. Let me know what you need/want changed about them and I will try again.

RE: Red desert terrains?
Could you make the desert-smooth in uhm, the colours of the others (one with medium colour, one with red colour, one with rough colour), if possible? Because I like the smooth texture but I think the others have colours closer to original Strangetown.

RE: Red desert terrains?
So you want them all to have more of a sand texture instead of the rocky one they appeared to have. If so no problem I can do that.

RE: Red desert terrains?
Those textures are beautiful AuntieLynds.
It could have been the file size that was the problem with uploading the file. |
