Hey all! Recently I was inspired by the people on here to create a world of my own. I've always wanted to because I am always on the look out for a small world with all the EP lots. So I created this world known as Island Hopivia. I currently have a question and some thoughts on my island. (Please note my island is not supposed to be too beachy or anything.) I'm still filling the island with lots and such.

My question is, should I put rocks? I currently have no rocks in my world on the mountain or cliff. I do not know how to place them to look realistic, so I need some tips. Or should I just leave them out. Oh and feel from to comment on the appearance of the island.

This is very sweet! I love the little beach area! And the area with the mountain gives it such a mystic look! Very nice done!

Rocks ... I have not done anything with rocks yet, but I would suggest to put some big rocks to the bottom of the hill and then go smaller to the top. Some fog around the top maybe? And birds, birds, birds! They make it realistic!

Since it is small, I would like to test it for you, as soon as it is open for testing!

The rocks look much better once you strategically place some plants around them.

Personally I like to combine the rocks to get interesting shapes and like Auntielynds said a few plants - viola nice looking scene.

I also place them in clumps, 3-5 rocks in varying sizes.

Okay so I added some rocks to the cliff, but I want an opinion on how it looks. (I also added some lots)

I am torn rearea. Part of me like it and part thinks you have to many and need to do a bit of pruning.

I just have to say that I noticed the subway station, is that really needed in such a small world? Laughtingoutloud_32x32

Anyway, I think the world looks good and I feel exactly the same about the rocks as Sookielee... can't decide whether I like it or not.

I was torn too, I think I might get rid of them because it seems unrealistic to me. But first maybe I should take some off the top and see how that looks.
EDIT: I took a CAW shot of the cliff with some rocks gone.

In a select few areas leave clumps of 3-5 rocks like AL said above.

I finally got to take a look at this; it's such a cute island! :wub:

I like the final edit as well with the fewer rocks. I've taken worlds that I've downloaded and added trees and rocks and such, and it can be really easy to go overboard, so It's good to find a nice balance. It looks great so far. :thumbsup2:
