RE: Share Your Sims 3 Lot pictures
What a neat idea Gurra. I would not have thought of building underwater at all. So cool, I look forward to seeing this lot completed.

Gurra, it looks fabulous! I don't know anything beyond that it can be done about changing the coloring, etc., of a custom world so am I correct in assuming that's what you're doing here?

RE: Share Your Sims 3 Lot pictures
I decided to go in and try to update one of my Suburban Gambrels to have a horse barn instead of a garage. I have not played any horses yet in the game and am not sure if this configuration will work in-game. I am sure there are many out there that have been going Horse Wild, so I ask you to take a look at the pics and let me know if this will work in-game.

I think Gurra is using an exploit someone else found with CAW a while back...there's something about how you can make routable terrain appear to be underwater by changing the water levels after setting the terrain height...I don't recall specific details, though. But it's tricky to do and have it not appear odd, it wouldn't work for someone who prefers realism, but you could have someone who was an "aquatic" sim walk into the water and live there. I think the person who figured it out had intended for it to be used in very shallow fords and things in their world, or maybe to set up fishing spots where your sim would appear to wade in slightly to fish in the deeper water, but I don't recall specifically. And I think that will work Sookie, though you may want to warn people that they may need to pet-lock the fence gate...I think that's a ctrl+shift+click thing, I will check...without doing so, horses will just decide they've had enough of their enclosures and go wandering into the vegetable garden if there are carrots there lol. :redflower: "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home."

RE: Share Your Sims 3 Lot pictures
You may have to buy the carrots at the grocery store. They're "uncommon" so you might also be able to get carrots in those "wild" seeds. I was goofing around last night with wild horses in Build Town and one of them was going to beg one off of my Sim but she didn't have any. I had to plop down a store so she could buy some.

Yeah, that's like the last place I think to look for things too. I'm so used to being a scrounger for stuff in real life that my Sims are usually scroungers as well. :giggle:

My semi-underground house:
I added the gnomes after I put it in the lots bin, and there are a few things that need fixing, which I apparently fixed after I put it in the lots bin as well. (But at least I saved the lot before I cleaned up 12 copies of Build Town that each had only one or two lots in them. )
