Lost Relationships
I don't know if this is a world question or a game question, but is it normal for a family from the bin to lose their relationships with children and friends when they are placed in a custom world?

I just placed my family that I have been playing since Sims 3 started and now the children are displayed as friends in the relationship panel.

Is there any fix for this?

I am not happy. :badday1:

RE: Lost Relationships
If the children are not in the household, yes it is normal. Once any family or sim goes into the bin all relationships outside the household are lost.

I think one of twallens mods can fix it. Check in Master Controller for relationships and see what you find.

The children were included in the family that I had in the bin, even the young adult son, but now all the family tree shows is the wife and husband. The kids are listed as friends in the relationship panel. I will check around with the mods. :chaplin:

Sookielee, I looked at the Master Controller and the Master Controller Cheats. Here is what I found in the Cheats module.

◦Family■Add Child■Adds a new child to a sim
■Module: MasterController Cheats NEW

■Add Parent■Adds a new parent to a sim
■Module: MasterController Cheats NEW

■Add Sibling■Adds a new sibling to a sim
■Module: MasterController Cheats NEW

■Remove Child■Removes an existing child from a sim
■Module: MasterController Cheats NEW

■Remove Parent■Removes an existing parent from a sim
■Module: MasterController Cheats NEW

■Remove Sibling■Removes an existing sibling from a sim
■Module: MasterController Cheats NEW

This should work, don't you think?

Now, I am unsure about which mod to get. I have patch 1.33. I have not updated to the last one, 1.34 yet.

Do I get Master Controller V84 Phase Seven?

I understand I have to install the Cheats Module as well?

I will tell you, installing this mod scares the crap out of me. I want to fix my family, but I am really scared to fool with this mod. I have Overwatch and that is scary enough. Laughtingoutloud_32x32

RE: Lost Relationships
Install version 84 along with the cheats module. And all of Twallan's mods are very safe. In fact you might find that you will never want to live without them :P hehe

I also recommend getting his overwatch mod...it fixes things every night like missing sims and abdoned vehicles along the road that can lag your game.

RE: Lost Relationships
Be sure to put a unaltered copy of your sims family somewhere else. Export it if you need to, so you know if things going boom with the family you still have them.

I use the cheat module and have not had any problems with it at all. You will be fine.

Thanks, Sookielee. I have already downloaded those two mods, so will backup my game before I install them. And I have a copy of my family in my documents. I already have Overwatch and love it. I am hoping I will get over the nervousness of using these new mods and really enjoy it. You and Regina are going to convert me, yet.Laughtingoutloud_32x32 I will let you know if it works. First, I have to get some guts to install it.:bounce:

RE: Lost Relationships
Twallan's reputation as a modder is well deserved, believe me! He is the most dedicated modder I've ever heard of, always ready to adjust whenever EA changes something that affects his work. I knock on wood with hope that he will never ever stop! :D

Go ahead and install, it won't hurt, especially if you have a good backup.

RE: Lost Relationships
Just an update: I put the mods in my mod folder and almost started my game. Laughtingoutloud_32x32 Then I decided against it because I am working on a new world and do not have the final file yet, so I pulled the mods to my desktop. They are staring at me each time I look at my desktop. I will put them in once I get my final world file, which is in the next week or so. I just can't take any chances with this world that has taken over six months to make.

I appreciate your encouragement though. I know you all think I am a little crazy about all this, but that is me. :bag: I have a tendency to be cautious about every thing I do.....guess it is the nurse in me. :D

I am going to put the mods in, believe me. I want to learn more about them and use them to control my hood more. Thanks everyone, and I will let you know when I install the mods.Sunshine

Blessings to you and yours. Flower_32x32
