Actually, if you delete a section of foundation where the window is going to be, and replace it with a wall, you can stick a window in it. But the foundation must be -exactly- one wall height, and you will end up with indentations where the wall sections are unless you pair them up. Even then it looks a bit silly, though.

But due to height differences between the basement floor and the outside terrain there will be a one tile "slope" inbetween and then it just looks stupid. :P

Wouldn't it be nice if they made it so you could actually build a house like they are in real life? Like real garages are on houses that have foundations and are attached. It seems pretty simple to me.

Showing my house, would be a pain, I have landings for the stairs and that may distort the house slightly. Plus, I cant get the electric chandelier in the dining room. Oh well. Happy_32x32

You know, you don't have to make it exact, and I've seen some nicely done TS3 houses with landings with the stairs. The house I made off my own is much prettier than the real thing, and that's what's fun about this game is you can use your creativity to make something you'd like even better. It's something I like about the game because I can have something in my game I cannot afford in real life. Happy_32x32
