Game Problems
Suddenly, I keep finding these Magic Gnome Memorial statues on my lot that I am playing. I will delete them and they will reappear. There will one to three statues scattered about the lot. Is this some kind of bug or something?

Also, I am getting a one second delay with my Sims. Today, they acted like they had no automony to act with their own free will. I checked all my settings and they were set correctly. I have the Overwatch mod and it was not showing any problems. My game just seems to be acting a little crazy. When I opened it today, most all my sims on the lot were in the red and I had to use the cheat to get them out of danger. I play with progression and aging off.

I have not downloaded the new patch as yet and I have no CC in the game other than the Riverside items. I just don't get it. Those knomes showing up seems very strange.

Also, I thought the Overwatch mod was suppose to get rid of all the lemon cars, but I have seen two at different locations that never move. I had my sim detonate one and it was gone for the night, but then it reappeared the next sim day. They set in the same spot. There may be more, but this are the only two I have found so far.

I have all the EP's installed. Any thoughts?Sunshine Should I take the mod out? I have had it in the game for several weeks now. Could it be the problem? :hmm:

Blessings to you and yours. Flower_32x32

RE: Game Problems
I moved your thread to Game & Computer Help.

Crinrict's Sims 3 Help Blog is a great place to look and see if this is perhaps a bug or a known issue. Oftentimes she posts how-to fix also. It is one of the first places I go when I am having game problems.

If you have not updated you game, I doubt that overwatch is causing the problems, but it never hurts to test without any or all mods to be sure. (even those you know to be good.)

RE: Game Problems
Judy, I too noticed after installing Generations that a gnome statue for some strange reason sometimes generates on the lot I'm playing. I haven't looked into it, but it hasn't happened on every lot. I don't think I've experienced those other problems with or without mods and I use the Overwatch mod by Twallan, along with many of his other mods, because I just can't play the game without them.

I have one sim at Simlogical.com. You will find the rest of my creations here at CS3. Happy Simming! Kiss_32x32

RE: Game Problems
The statue you are getting is because you had a gnome die of old age on that lot.

I did have that bear gnome in one of the sim's backpack. He was found in the laundry. I thought about starting a collection of them, but decided that he might be causing that statue. I only had the one gnome though. Wonder why I got so many statues around the yard???? I have not seen anymore since I deleted the one bear gnome, so you are probably right.

Thanks for moving the thread. I should have looked for a forum for that. Also thanks for the link. I did check it out and did not find anything regarding my problems, but it was interesting to read about all the bugs, which I have had some of them from time to time. I added the link to my favorites for future use.

I think I have solved most of my game problems. The gnome on my lot was deleted and so far no more gnome memorial statues.

I decided that perhaps something on my lot was causing the lag in my game, so I started deleting some of the non-essential items. That did not help. Then I decided that maybe if I deleted the washer and dryer and all the clothes hampers that it would help. I deleted that and still the lag. Then I remembered I had one more hamper in the exercise room and that did it. No more lag. I don't know whether I had too many hampers or what, but I was tired of making my sim hubby wash all those clothes every day anyway. Rofl

I was really sweating this lag because I am play testing my new world and that was not good. I had checked with Overwatch for any routing problems and nothing was showing up. I thought maybe it was that the lot was just too big and too many sims on the lot all the time. They have the pappazzi around all the time and have three kids and a dog plus all the friends that come home with the kids all the time. All make for many sims on the lot all the time. My poor sim son, I sent him off to boarding school to see if that would help the lot lag. :bag:

Anyway, all seems okay now. My lot is zipping right around regardless of the activity on it and my sims seem fine.Sunshine

Thanks, everyone. :D

Blessings to you and yours. Flower_32x32

RE: Game Problems
That's great news, Judy. Sunshine I don't know about that statue only showing up after a gnome dies from old age, because it showed up on an in game lot that I didn't think any gnomes were on, so I couldn't figure out how a gnome got there in the first place.

RE: Game Problems
Interesting what you discovered about the laundry and hampers. It does make me wonder a bit about one of my lots I don't play that often. Think I might see about checking it for this.

Nice find!

RE: Game Problems
I discovered that one of my lots had a colony of gnomes that I hadn't known about until I saw a baby gnome and two Elder gnomes at the farthest corner of the lot. I think Generations gave us migrating gnomes. (And I still think it's really silly that my sims live longer than the gnomes do. Not that I want my sims dying any sooner... But why isn't there gnomish ambrosia?)

I had eight hampers on the lot, so don't know if that is too many or not. I might try adding the washer and dryer and a couple of hampers back to see how it plays.
