Welcome to a HUGE gallery/museum. This one is on a 64x64 lot. It has 4 separate buildings, each with plenty of room for your treasures.
1. RGM 2. Art/Wall Hangings, Sculptures 3. Tomb finds 4. Art center, with all equipment for sculpture and art The only CC I used was the Potted Bamboo, cannot for the life of me remember what EA set that is from....the Asian one I think. Only stuff used from NL would be the florescent lights and the fountains. I have the pack files if anyone wants those instead of package. |

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
Thank you Regina :)
I originally had all of the RGM in the museum, but every time I would edit town, everything would go to my Sim's inventory. I "donated" so I figured it would stay.... |

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
You know, that is so irritating! That's happened to me too, so the next museum I decided to build with rocks, gems, and minerals, I built as a residential lot to start with, then changed it to a community lot. I don't think I've tested changing it to a museum to see what happens with the stuff yet, though.

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
In the past, what I have done to set things up (and I am debating whether or not I will try again at this point) is start as a residence, plant everything you want planted (if you want better quality than blah), place all collected relics down, all RGM and even fish if you want fish, I don't honestly know how fish fare long term on public lots, but maybe they're like the plants where they survive?...then I evict and switch to community (museum)...usually choosing the "move with house" option if I want to keep a copy of it all lol. (Hey, sometimes you WORK for that stuff lol...the plants and fish and relics and everything). Then, I place all of the objects into a basement space or some such while I build the museum proper and decorate as I choose.
I haven't done this in a while, so I don't know if it still works, but I don't see why it shouldn't. :redflower: "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home."

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
I cheated to get all of the RGM..I used the chest on MTS, maybe that had something to do with it? I just wanted to put all the pretties in. Maybe it's better this way though, because people can either use the chest, or if they like to hunt for stuff they can add as they find. Well, that and if they don't have certain expansions, they don't have to worry about the RGM that certain exp. don't have.

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
I did too, got it all from the chest. I've never used it for anything else, but for that it was VERY handy! I have all of the fish as well, some mounted, the ones that make sense in bowls. I cheated those too.
I did not, however, cheat the ENTIRE collection of bugs on that lot because I couldn't figure out a cheat way to get them. They were gathered from all corners of the Sims 3 globe.

I wish we could get a bug display, kind of like in Animal Crossing. Speaking of, I sure miss that game, it was a lot of fun.

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
Months back I started a brand new town on the Wii, in fact restarted and restarted until I got a lay-out I absolutely adore, with my house on an island even. The museum in City Folk is the bomb! Anyway, as much as I love that game I have to play it on my terms, which means when I get back to playing I will play for a few days, then write down the date, then before I play again, set the Wii date and clock accordingly. I may have to be Nook's slave, but I sure don't have to be a game developer's slave. :P

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
Man, this has got me on the train of thought now...I need a new museum for my town, I really like yours but it's very thematic and doesn't fit in a modern replacement of gross Sunset Valley museum. So now I have the collection crew going...bugs and RGM and fish and relics and everything else...hrmmmm....I need a building now lol.
Sorry, my mind is wandering. Anyways, I like yours lol. ;o) :redflower: "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home."

RE: Yume Museum and Gallery
I can try working on a modern one. I've got a lot of time and nothing to do lately. What size would you want and what expansions do you have?
