TS3 EP03 Late Night Goth Manor-EA Remodel
Shame on me!Laughtingoutloud_32x32 Ever since Sims3 came out, I have never even looked at their lots, much less played them, except for the very first ugly Sims home, which I quickly rebuilt. I have always built my own from that day on. So as I was looking around for a build spot, I spotted the Goth Manor in Sunset Valley and decided it definitely needed a face lift. The design was great, but the rest was hideously done.

Goth Manor Remodel

Lot Information:
60x60
Address:13 Sky borough Blvd.-Sunset Valley
3 bedroom-4 baths
UF-$193,967
F- $287,984
CC Free, except for store items

Exterior:Two car garage, observation deck covering a patio, pool, pond, fire pit area, family graveyard, room for a small garden, a reflection fountain to the side of the house for reading or just enjoying the beauty of the gardens.

Interior: large foyer entrance with triple staircase, living room, formal dining, eat-in kitchen, a sun room with a hot tub and full bath on first floor. Second floor has a foyer, a guest bedroom and nursery with a shared bath, an office and the master bedroom with a full bath. Third floor is the game room, an exercise room and there is a full bath. There is a small sunny attic room for drafting and painting.

The pictures show CC, but this third party CC has been removed. This only modified the home's exterior look slightly. I did leave my EA store CC, since a girl has to have some pretties. ;)
EA store items used, but not required:
Magical Fairy Gate
Windows of All Knowing (a must for this house to look the same)
Topper plant (free)
Flambeaux wall lamp
Statue of Cupid in Flight (free)
Extra Exquisite ceiling light
Dukes dining table
New Year's Nectar (free)
WhoDunnit Curtains
Romantique Table Lamp
Forest Curtains
Leaftastic Plant (free)
Gothique Painting

RE: Goth Manor-EA Remodel
Very Nicely done, but for everyone info, if you don't have the store item she bought it will not show up in your game, a default item will take it's place.

That's absolutely stunning, Judy! I love your sense of color coordination, something that people working for EA apparently lack. Your work is so amazing. Thank you for sharing this wonderful work of art! I am definitely downloading this one. Hug1

I have one sim at Simlogical.com. You will find the rest of my creations here at CS3. Happy Simming! Kiss_32x32

RE: Goth Manor-EA Remodel
Needed this lot about 2 hours ago. LOL, I am revising my Sunset Valley and used a lot from Riverview for the Goth family. Your lot is nicer, so I want to use it. Thank you.

I will have to gloomify it a bit, looks gorgeous but too cheery! LOL!

RE: Goth Manor-EA Remodel
I really love the colors used in this house. Is there any pictures of what this looks like without cc? Although I don't have LN installed so things would probably look differently for me. Not sure what the Hot tub would be come :) One of these days I may re-install LN but right now I'm happiest without it.

Thanks, Simsbody. No, there are no other pics. I submit at another site, so I only do one presentation. I just remove the CC for this site. The house will look pretty much the same. You might have to change the door and some of the CC objects shown will be gone as well as the hot tub. It is very difficult to keep up what EP has what when furnishing. I did not use any custom patterns, so all the walls and floors will be the same, I think. If you do not have the Wishing Window from the store, I highly recommend it as it will change the Victorian look to the house. Would you be more interested in unfurnished lots? I have been thinking of just submitting here with them unfurnished. It surprises me that most people don't have the eps. I get anything EA throws my way.Laughtingoutloud_32x32

RE: Goth Manor-EA Remodel
I think the majority of people have at least most of the expansion packs, but there are people who decide for one reason or another they don't want a certain EP. With TS2 a person had to have every expansion pack to get various build features like half-walls, etc., but with TS3 we don't because those features are added to the updates that come with each expansion pack. With my game fully updated I have half-walls, the fountain tool, and the patterns that came with LN, just don't have the objects, interactions, vampires, and all that stuff. If EA really wants to start selling me all the expansion packs, whether they contain things I will use regularly or not, they only need to do one simple thing, which is to regain my consumer confidence. Because of their buggy software and apparent reluctance at fixing obvious game bugs and ridiculous prices for those bugs, they lost that quite some time ago. The only reason I still play Sims is because there is no other game like it, and there are so many aspects of it I enjoy, especially the creative side. No other game gives as much creative flexibility as a Sims game. I love Sims, but I have a strong dislike for EA.

BogSims Institute, where you won't find much, but what you do find may be useful.

RE: Goth Manor-EA Remodel
No worries Judy, no need to make separate pictures :)

I was like that with TS2, but it takes me longer to buy EA stuff now. I'm very disappointed in their shoddy work lately. I did buy LN which I regret buying, it's more annoying than TS2 Pets were to me :cheesy: so I uninstalled it. The only thing I don't have yet is Outdoor Life.

As for store stuff, I buy very little of it, only something that I can't live without. They get enough of my money and I'd much rather have a local store benefit from my purchases. ;)

RE: Goth Manor-EA Remodel
I've only been playing S3 for a couple of months (long time player of S1 and S2 though). I have started modifying the Sunset Valley EA houses and I really enjoy seeing what others have done to modify EA houses. I love your Goth house!!! You did an amazing job on it. I especially love the kitchen and the outdoors is to die for. Thank you! :D
