Z5-biggrin New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
Sims love getting new things. And so do we.

So, you may already know about cmomoney's Pose Player. If you didn't, that's okay, you may live under a rock, but I'm sure it's cozy down there.
If you've missed out on all of the beautiful, awkward, strange, charming, and sometimes just plain "Huh. Okay, then." poses out there, Jin-Ah has The Sims3 Pose Database with pictures of her sims in a basic environment without a ton of staging, props, lighting weirdness, and etc, as well as links to where these poses are shared.

Yesterday, though, cmomoney's Animation Player went live. It may take a little longer for the community to jump in and create animations since they aren't a single-frame action, however people responded quickly and intensely to making pose packs, there are TONS of them out there so we may see the animations move quickly as well.

Okay, you can go back to your rock now.
Mmmm.... earthy.

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
I'm usually under my Caw rock, but I do a drive by of My Sims 3 Blog everyday to see what's up. I've been waiting for someone to come out with some pose packs other then lovey dovey, lookie me sexy!, or model runway. Some nice terror poses would be nice. I did see some cool falling poses, and a martial arts combat one.

The animation player is too cool. I can't wait to see what people come up with there.

Ugh! where did my rock go! [Image: hide_under_rock_by_mirz123-d37upz0.gif]

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
I find it comfy under my rock

I had heard about some custom poses but didn't know anyone was making a pose maker! I think Kate mentioned custom poses once that she had used on elders to get the hunch out of the photos, but that they looked too fake for her and she was looking for new ones. This will probably be just what she is looking for.

I'll have to post her a link. Thanks for sharing......heading back under my rock now ;) One more week to go and then I can be free for a while and enjoy life instead of just catch the highlights Laughtingoutloud_32x32

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
Okay, I must be under a big rock, because I've never even used custom poses in my game. By the way, I love the rock smilie, Auntielynds! Of course, with Sims3, I use very little custom content period because I have had so much trouble with lag in my game. I guess I'll go back under my rock now too. Sunshine

I have one sim at Simlogical.com. You will find the rest of my creations here at CS3. Happy Simming! Kiss_32x32

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
Okay, so I haven't been updating CC much lately and no one else has jumped in, so there's a lot of ground to cover. This means I'm going to have a) a very long post and b) I'm going to just be doing a quick skim of stuff.

Feel free to post your own updates here too. I don't HAVE to be the only one who spends much time trawling for goodies lol.

Okay, to get started, I don't remember where I left off on the old version of the site, but there has been A LOT released in the last...4 months...since I updated about the pose and animation players lol.
I'm going to throw a few pics, a few links down to some sites that have had some awesome releases and you get to follow through and see what else they have.

Awesims:
Modern Designer Kitchen

Midcentury Comfort Set

Hairpin Set

Around the Sims 3:
Flowers Market

Music Festival

Toy Shop

First Line Bedroom

That's not all for either site lately, that's just to get you started. There's a ton there, so that's just encouragement to go dig around and see what else there is to find at Awesims and Around the Sims 3.

Oh, wow! Sandy does SUCH neat stuff! I  the whole toy shop set.

The other stuff is nice, too, definitely good for more modern designing. :)

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
Okay, so another post. I'm breaking this into bite-size chunks. There's so much out there and it means uploading pictures and linking and etc and maintaining SOME concept of what I've already uploaded, so have patience with me lol.

Remember, there's much more than I'm posting available at these sites, I'm slacking, but if you see something you love go see what else that artist has to offer.

b5Studio:
Standing the Heat Kitchen

Cooking with b5studio

Green Man Garden Set

Just a small side note: I adore Eric of b5Studio. He has been IMMENSELY helpful to me on several occasions and has enabled me to do some of the projects I've released. He's genuinely talented and a nice guy to boot, so I really hope you'll pop in to his site and pick through his very eclectic mix of antiques and modern-esque furniture to find some things that suit your taste. I have QUITE a bit of it in my game lol.

Pocci:
Pocci has posted things at several different sites, but since I'm trying to be as tidy as possible, I'm going to link to the stuff wherever it is and lump them all into this one location just to keep track of them.
Iron Spiral Staircase

Marguerite Tableware Set

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
A while back, Demonic posted a big Elven-inspired Buy and Build set at his own site and MTS.

He's got another huge set now, this one is totally Sci-Fi, but just as fun. I'm not posting all of the pics, there are a ton of things included in the set.

D&M Creations SciFi Set

And I am sorry that I'm flooding the updates/latest posts section...I'm trying to keep track of where everything is from and that means breaking myself down into a ton of smaller posts about specific artists instead of a few MASSIVE posts. Also, if I do it this way, I can walk away and not feel as though I've GOT to come back an finish...which, since I'm under the weather today, is important (got my flu shot 2 days ago and as usual got a mild bug afterward). I may wander off to get a drink and find myself taking a 2 hour nap instead.

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
There's more than just those things, lots of really clever things to update on, but my bug got the better of me yesterday and I ended up sleeping for a lot of it.

Spacerox, don't you worry about having to try to sleep off the bug--you no doubt needed it!

Wow! That space set is fabulous and the iron spiral staircase is just gorgeous! I remember the other day seeing the tableware set on the site and thinking how stunning it is.

As Tonya said, there are so many talented people out there and one of these days I'm going to spend some time working my way through their sites because I know there are at least a few "shouldn't be without that" kind of things I've yet to see.

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
Okay, so, just a few little bitty updates today for fun.

You may not have heard of Land of WOE, it's kind of a small site and a bit specific, too. They do some really gorgeous creations, but it's not all for everyone.

There are some clever things there, though.

Stackable plates and bowls, stackable boxes, and vertically-moveable "flying" paper lanterns[/url] (think Chinese New Year or Tangled).
Land of WOE
Go to BUY at the top of the page (it's a little hard to see) and there are some neat entries. Definitely some worthwhile stuff for decorators, storytellers, picture-takers, etc there.

RE: New Stuff!--The Custom Content Update Thread
At Pixelated Land there was a set of Vintage Simlish Travel Posters, originally by Ebbe, but converted to Sims 3 by booboo.

They're gorgeous, they go well thematically with the Bon Voyage art which has been converted several times, my favorite version being by Tamo. They were designed to coordinate with the Bon Voyage Art for Sims 2 originally, so it makes sense lol.

If you don't have Tamo's posters, the Bon Voyage and Free Time wall posters were converted a while back and are lovely in game too. They're Master/Slaved for the alternate sizes so you need to have the main one if you want the smaller ones.
