Do you know what would cause this world to crash to desktop while loading?

I downloaded the empty lot version because it looks lovely from the pictures, but it crashes. This has happened to me before with other custom worlds, but this is the first one I was really disappointed about. I have LN and and Ambitions, but not WA, if that's relevant.

Hi, Catangi! This can happen for several reasons but since it's not happening for everyone, my first suggestion is to delete all the *cache.package files in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and see if that fixes it.

I deleted all of my caches except for the World Caches, since I'm on a Mac and apparently that's a bad idea for Mac users. I also removed my Packages folder just in case. It still crashed.

So I figured I might as well try downloading the Generations patch, in case that jiggled a connection somewhere. It still crashes, but I get an error message about a raised exception that then asks me if I want to debug. Yes/no both crash it to desktop.

Very odd. Maybe it's because I'm on a Mac? If it happens with a patched game with no mods I can't think of anything else.
