Can you have several houses on one lot and have sims live in them? Not as a family, but separately like in a trailor park or apartments. I think the answer is "no," but thought I would ask anyway.:bounce:

RE: Community living
No, but I just wish you could! You can lock the doors to allow only specific sims with a mod (I think) and they won't come into the others' house, but you can't have 2 households on 1 lot. I wish they made this possible (even if only for like 3 households) instead of those huge empty apartment buildings.

Okay, thanks. I figured as much. EA sure messed up with Bridgeport and the skyscrapers. I hated that hood.:bounce:

RE: Community living
I've never played there, but the face that only 1 household can live in that HUGE building really bugs me.

I agree totally. Just a waste of space in the hood and in my game. A door like in Sims2 would have made many things possible, but EA did not see that I guess. ;)

RE: Community living
This is something I've wanted to be able to do properly since the original game. Back then, there were precious few lots, nobody died unless you killed them, and you couldn't move anyone out of a household so I always had multiple families living on the same lot. Then TS2 had Apartments but by the time that came out I really wasn't playing much any more so I never bought it and I don't think even that was designed exactly as I would have liked it. I have been really hoping EA would do something in TS3 for true multi-family dwellings, then they did the apartments in Late Night and I was reading about them and scratching my head.

BogSims Institute, where you won't find much, but what you do find may be useful.
