OMG Hex, I could kiss you! Thank you so very much, I hated not having spiral stairs, because straight stairs aren't always appropriate! Can't wait to use these.

Inge, I don't know what the meshing world would do without you, truly!

RE: Safety for Spiral Stairs
It's possible that CC spiral stairs are not working with the Pets EP. I don't have anything completely confirmed, but there have been a few bug reports of sims getting stuck with CC spiral stairs and so some testing would probably not go amiss at this time.

I will update with more info if I have any in the future. I just thought you should know.

Thank you for this post!
This is the same information I found so far, too. I also found another one that said it was enough to delete the stairs in a lot and rebuild it. Until now I don't know what is the right solution because I had no chance to play nor to test the game or CC because I had no time to do so. I'll check it during the next days.

RE: Safety for Spiral Stairs
Pocci had to update theirs. The EP apparently changes a tuning in the spiral stairs period to make them EP specific and I think it was Twallan that said it was a fairly simple matter of overriding the tuning, but I don't know if that relates to the issue occurring with these stairs that I've heard.

I got my info from http://www.thesimsdaily.net/showthread.php?tid=851 and there's a link to the MTS thread in there as well, to give you some idea of where to start looking for solutions.

RE: Safety for Spiral Stairs
Spacerox, just an FYI, I haven't downloaded any new/updated spiral stairs yet but the old Pocci spiral stairs works in my game after I fixed my 3rd party CC with the rig fixer upper thingy. All others I've downloaded - TSR and yours don't. Will be getting Pocci's updated stairs and look forward to your updates too.

Actually, I'm planning on downloading everything once everyone in the community has updated their existing items. While shopping for new stuff... of course :) Thanks and happy simming!!

A reverse version of the stairs will have problems with existing animations. The sims still will use the stairs the same way as they do now. The only way could be a solution using the hack Inge made. The sims teleport from one level to the other. Would you like it?
The second problem is time. I should finish some other projects before I start a new one. This means you had to wait for a long time. Therefore I don't want to promise anything.

RE: Safety for Spiral Stairs
Yes thank you I would love that hack, but I still run patch 1.26, I do plan on updating soon as everyone catches up. Is this mod you mention it still compatible?

I'm sorry if I didn't describe it exactly enough.
Inge made a new script that can be used for stairs as a new object resource. This way it is possible to make stairs of different shapes than the original. I think it could be possible to use it for a new object that looks like the one you want but without the animations of a stair.
You wouldn't need any hack for this because the script is part of the new cloned object.

RE: Safety for Spiral Stairs
I was wondering why the spirals in the game came without rails - it did bug me even though I knew the sims wouldn't fall off the edge. Wonder how EA didn't pick that up and correct it - probably will in a later patch. Thanks for coming to our rescue before they did.

Keep on Simming! Thank you
