Sorry, for some reason I got 10 stuck in my head with 11 if you had a ghost.

lkandak - Your pictures are too dark. I know for this challenge people went for dark pix to capture the spooky feel but, honestly, we can't judge a house we can't see. We'd love to actually see the house so please correct this. Perhaps, you could just brighten/lighten the pix and repost without having to reshoot. Thank you.

RE: Building Challenge # 4 - BOO!
I would suggest leaving the house front view pic because even though it is angled high we can see the entire house, the roof, and also get an idea of how the house would fit into a neighborhood.

Hope they're better now.

RE: Building Challenge # 4 - BOO!
Yea, I pulled the staircase and the 3rd floor pictures, they're still attached, but disregard them. The whole thing got rather jumbled and I couldn't recall what was what, so deleting the pictures would have been far too much trouble, but those 2 don't lend a ton to the presentation as a whole.

Those are awesome houses! (Ikandek, I had to brighten all of my pictures, too. And my torches -were- set to bright!)

RE: Building Challenge # 4 - BOO!
Okay the scores are in and the votes have been tallied. For the most part the scores were very close. We loved all of your ghosts!
First, I want to thank Regina, Sookielee, and Judy Sims for taking the time to help judge this challenge and also a thank you to everyone who participated and made this challenge so fun. As you know the entries were judged on creativity, structure, décor, theme and requirements with the overall highest possible score being 200. Here are the overall scores along with some feedback from the judges. Lady Magical – 175 Overall the judges felt this was a quality build with very nice décor though the exterior landscaping seemed to some judges to depict autumn more than Halloween. Still, all thought this was a nice home suitably decorated with Halloween colors/patterns and as one judge stated “The interior décor makes me think of the Munster family living in Sims suburbia.” Shadow – 170 The judges felt you clearly embraced the Halloween theme with fun and gusto and one even said “I want to go there for a Halloween party!” While there were many elements (perhaps too many?) that screamed Halloween the darkness of your pix made the exterior of the build hard to judge and you used different skull and crossbones than the required pattern. Ghost - 169 The judges all thought your house was spooky and had truly unique elements. We loved the fog but there were mixed feelings about having mist inside the house and, while interesting, some judges found the detail of the décor and the landscaping a tad sparse. Jaguwar – 173 There was a slight disconnect in the build with the exterior of the house being spookier than the interior but the overall effect was still pleasing and as judges stated “This house is a nice balance between the scary and playful sides of Halloween.” and “It would appeal to children trick or treating as it was decorated very nicely for the holiday.” Dantes – 174 The judges thought this was a great house and quality build but most felt the teal color while appropriate for a Victorian home countermanded the Halloween effect and theme. The study was the standout room to uphold the theme. The landscaping and décor were very detailed though some found the lawn a little cluttered. Spacerox – 155 The judges all found your house to be spooky and creative and as one judge said “I can't help but wonder how many bodies are buried in the piles of rubble.” While well done and certainly spooky your house was more horror film than Halloween and we didn’t see the required orange and black décor room. So while the house was good it missed the mark in this context. lkandak – 140 While Judges enjoyed the story, we felt the house lacked creativity and any creative ideas (like the house on the hill) were not well implemented. The house was missing some requirements and while dark and spooky it lacked a Halloween theme. The darkness of the pix also made it impossible to fully evaluate the rooms and the furnishings and detail visible in the interior and exterior were very sparse. Seemed like you needed more time and were rushed to finish. Congratulations to Lady Magical for being the winner and having the overall highest score in the Boo! Challenge.
