A house generator
Syera's been spending quite a bit of time putting some gadgets and gizmos on her Springhole website and as a lover of Sims she came up with a couple of new ideas for random generators that could be used by Sims players. This one is a house generator. I know you may be thinking, "What?" so let me introduce you to it.
All you do is click the button and suddenly you're given an idea for a house to build based on different parameters like size, style, color scheme, condition, yard, etc. I hope you have fun playing with it! BogSims Institute, where you won't find much, but what you do find may be useful. |

RE: A house generator
Apparently, according to the multiple clicks I gave it, I'm supposed to build the site of a famous *****...which is haunted. Those were the 2 I got REPEATEDLY lol.

RE: A house generator
:bounce: I got one that was the site of a famous ***** then got different ones after that. The last one I copied to a text document because I really want to build it. :D

RE: A house generator
Nope, I just went back and forth between ***** and haunted. Over and over. Does it know that I'm in the haunted house challenge? ;oP

RE: A house generator
I asked Syera. She says, "Yes, it does, obviously." :evillaugh:
There are currently nine possibilities on that variable and we're working on more. :cheesy: BogSims Institute, where you won't find much, but what you do find may be useful. |

RE: A house generator
Lol, yea, I figured it was more of something like the odds just being stacked at the moment than anything.
On the other hand, I have a few you could use lol: *It looks like the former owners moved out in a hurry. *The house is soundly built, but strangely decorated. *The house has sat vacant for a long time. *Someone has died here recently. (Lol, not that this is TERRIBLY different than being the site of a *****, but I was thinking natural causes here.) *It smells strongly of fresh paint. *It's rumored that a politician's lover has lived here. *The property was left to you by a mysterious relative. *The house is registered as a historical landmark. (Can even work for "modern" builds, as we're rather well into post-modern era at this point.) I woke up really early and now I can't get back to sleep. I should go back to bed and try again, but I stopped to skim around online and my brain started spinning on this when I sat down lol. :redflower: "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home."

RE: A house generator
I'll tell her to come look at your ideas, she may just like some of them! :D
Oh goodness, I know how that goes. Yesterday morning I thought I had enough sleep when I got up but it didn't turn out that way. Today there's no question that I didn't stay asleep long enough. You know how Sims in TS2 couldn't go back to sleep when their energy meter was filled to a certain point but not yet full? That totally mimics life. If I wake up an hour before I should it's next to impossible to go back to sleep. BogSims Institute, where you won't find much, but what you do find may be useful. |

RE: A house generator
Another suggestion: The people who used to live here seem to have had some odd hobbies. (unless that one is already there and I haven't seen it yet.)
BTW, what happened to her name generators? I liked playing with them. |

RE: A house generator
I think these might be hers... http://www.springhole.net/randomators/namegens.htm
I have a great list now for some REALLY randomly named sims lol. They can be WHATEVER I want because they have NO ethnicity ties lol. What would a Bretsi Iotai look like? Or Ugi Uwe? Would they be human? Cyborg? I'm tempted to make a few edited simbots like Loverdag has done, edit them with CAS to remove the simbot skins and make them "human" looking but still have all of the simbot behaviors and etc. Hmmm... lol... lots of ideas to play with right now... (If you're curious what I mean, the link to Solviga is HERE.) :redflower: "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home."

RE: A house generator
Thank you Spacerox! Yes, they are the ones I had been playing with, but I had been getting to them from the link at Bog Sims so I hadn't bookmarked them. I have now!

RE: A house generator
Oh, cool! That looks helpful - And it's quite fun seeing what random ideas will appear, too. :P
The "If I Were The Hero" list on that site is also great. Thanks for sharing.

RE: A house generator
Oh, fiddles, she had changed some file names on Springhole but I've just reminded her to update the links from BogSims and to add the new ones there as well.
Yeah, Calimero, she has some pretty fun stuff there. She has aspirations of making this website her life's work so it should be fun to see what else she comes up with. BogSims Institute, where you won't find much, but what you do find may be useful. |

You know.. your post sounds mysteriously like at least 3 different houses I've created! LOL No they're not posted here .. YET.. I hope it's ok if I add these links: Vampire Estates Old Doc Holliday's House Old Abandoned Castro House I think because of lots like these three and a few others is the reason I was given the the title of : Psychotic House Builder over at Sims3Community.de ...:danceegyptian: ![]() ... As for the generator, that's helpful - gives you plenty of ideas! LOL |
