I am working on a default replacement of the (ugly) orange EA gender door. I have everything worked out, but how to make it into a default replacement.
Do any of you know how to do it or can point me towards a tutorial or a topic where it is talked about? Thank you for the help! |

says not to update the GUID on the clone so that the objects share the same GUID as the originals. In that case, the game should choose the updated object to display and override the original object. :redflower: "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home."

RE: Default replacement?
Spacerox: I will try that!
Edit: I just looked at the link, sadly that topic is about sims 2 objects, not sims 3. I need to know how to do this for a sims 3 object. |

RE: Default replacement?
Oh, haha....it's something similar for Sims 3, I don't remember exactly what it was there and the thread I had found about it before when I was trying to figure it out WAS at MTS... It's like when you make the clone, you have to use s3oc and you don't have it create a new ID number, and then it's default-replace. I kept meaning to revisit the thing because I wanted to redo my whole stencil-free set as a default replace with a stencil free version AND the original stencils, but it's a tad technical and there's not been a great default-replace tutorial that I could find. We need to MAKE one when you figure it out lol.
I'm sorry that I'm SOOOO technical. ;oP :redflower: "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home."

RE: Default replacement?
Thanks - I think I know where to start looking then. I will just have to get comfortable with s3oc then.
And it would be Great to have your stencil free sets as default replacements! |
