RE: Patch/Pets CC Tools--Links to tools to fix CC
Thanks for the link, Mia! I went to the site and did a search and came up with a granny.dll that's the wrong size and a TON of nasty-sounding archived files so I decided not to risk it. :bag:

When it comes to Mac, the problem lies with Apple. So many of the neat apps that are programmed for our Sims games since TS2 are built on one of the .net frameworks. Back in the day we Windows users had to download it as a separate file but they've since been added to the later Windows versions. Mac needs to get their hind ends in gear and do whatever it takes to support that framework. Then Mac users would be able to use things like Create A World, S3PE and others.

If it is the right file, are you going to put it on Mediafire and have it here?

Yep, Ghost, this one does appear to be the correct one--I used it yesterday and updated a few of Amjoie's files then tested them in my game. It only requires downloading one small file rather than the whole program, which legally I don't know if I'm allowed to do or not but here it is. This just needs to be dropped into the directory where TSR's RigFix tool is installed, right alongside the executable. You'll still get a message when you start the program saying you need the .dll so after that just open the folder where the files you want to fix are located (make sure you have them backed up just in case) and start pushing buttons.

RE: Patch/Pets CC Tools--Links to tools to fix CC
hi everyone,,,
hey,, i just bought this expansion(the sims3pets),i alreaddy installed it.but i have a problem with the custom content.it said in tsr.com that we(who already installed the sims 3 pets/or update our patch) should do "fix"cc pets.then i read about the tutorial,,at first i thought everything was very clear,,but when i tried to do the tutorial,,it become hard.i dont know where to download granny2.dll files..yes,,there are a lot in internet,,but they all are the same version(old version). all i need is the new version so itll be compatible with the sims3.and i have another question after i got the granny file where do i put that file?and itll be better if sum1 had another "crystal clear" tutorial about this whole fix cc thing.thank u so much evryone

Hiya, Wacky! Do you see the post just above yours? There's an attachment there that is the file that works with TSR's tool. Once you install that tool you'll have a new folder in your Program Files (x86 if you're on a 64-bit system) called The Sims Resource. Inside that is another folder called TSR RigFix. Drop the .dll file into the TSR RigFix folder and you'll be good to go. You will still get a message about the rig fixer needing the file when it starts up but you can ignore that. I've so far managed to fix quite a number of files without any problems but make sure you have a back-up of the files just in case something goes wrong.

I found it easiest for navigation purposes to put the copy of the files I'm fixing into a folder on my desktop since the rig fixer tool doesn't remember which folder was used last.
